Expander For Cable Protector

Whether you have one line or 20 cable lines that need to cross foot or vehicle traffic, a cable protector expander can extend the number of wires and other valuable connectors attached to the same power or equipment source. Scalability may be important to your business, and if you are in a public, commercial or industrial company that is growing rapidly or in an environment where machinery and equipment are moved frequently, a cable protector expander system may be right for you.

Using Cable Protector Expanders

To use a cable protector expander, it should be attached to an existing standard cable protector. Whereas the standard version has a ramp on either side to accommodate traffic from both directions, an expander will have the basic ramp on one side but the other edge will connect with one side of the ramp on the standard protector and make an even surface over which to travel – whether walking or rolling with tires. The two will alternate with one expander, then one standard, and on down for as many cable lines are needed.

As usual with cable protectors, the colors offered will be a bright safety color to warn pedestrians especially that the devices are there before crossing. In addition, in situations where ADA compliance is necessary, additional accessory ramps can be added for the proper ramp incline to allow a wheelchair to go over. The secure dog bone connectors play a large part in making the protectors secure to not only be driven over by significantly weighted trucks, but at the same time protect the lines inside. The expanders can tolerate over 10,000 pounds per axle.

There of course must be enough space to lay down all of the expanders and standard versions together. Each device will be a width of about 25", so placing three standard cable protectors together with two expanders, each holding five cable lines, will total 125 inches, or about 3 ½ feet wide, offering safety for 25 lines. This versatile, expandable system of protecting cables can work in many different applications.

Where to Use Cable Protector Expanders

Easy to assemble, sturdy, and well-marked cable protector expanders can be ideal for a growing business with increased need to access a cable or power source. Whether its cubicles or various stations set up in a large room, the value of protecting those lines and the people crossing them is important. Other indoor facilities requiring this safety factor include trade show centers, event halls and broadcast venues. The expanders can also be used with the standard protectors at outdoor venues such as county fairs, musical events, for street work, on ship yards and at military installations.

Although wireless technology and longer life batteries have become more prevalent in today's business world, there is still a great need for wired support. Their durability and the ease with which they can be set up and taken down speak to their effectiveness as well. A cable protector is meant to do as its name says – protect the valuable cables and wires from damage, and this they will do.

Would like to know is it better to buy a replacement computer or an additional one?

I already own a desktop that I bought in 2000 & it's not very fast & it doesn't have alot of memory. We have a family of four & I thought about buying myself a notebook computer & leave the desktop for the children. I would like to know which would be better: to buy a notebook computer, upgrade the one I have or just get a replacement desktop with more speed, memory and dvd/cd burner? I mainly use the computer just to type documents from time to time, download photos from my digital camera, download songs for my ipod and to surf the internet and sometimes the kids play games. I would like to be able to burn the pictures onto a disc as well as be able to hookup my digital camcorder so I can burn the movies onto a disc and one that is expandable. I really don't need a mobile computer. Which is the better brand to buy Toshiba, Dell, eMachines or what? If I bought another desktop how would I go about transfering all of my software and documents to the it? Thanks.

an additional one. i guess you could never have too many no matter how out dated they are. actually i uhh. have an emachines and they're not really all that bad ;] ..i need more memory for this one but i do more with mine. if you go with emachines i strongly suggest you get one installed with windows xp. i bought one with vista & pretty much hate it. vista is an ok o/s.. but not for the emachines usual 512mb ram. and even better, they're very affordable.
