Best beach in california?!?
There are SO many, and i am visiting in the Summer. I dont know which one to get a hotel near!
Laguna? La Jolla Cove? Huntington? Newport? Coronado?
I want to be near LA so we can go there and visit and shop and look around Hollywood hills, and i also want a hotel on a really nice beach. Like paradise. So i can tan/chill/listen to the waves

We are VERY VERY different from the east coast. We have VERY FEW beaches directly on the sand. And we probably don't have what you would consider "perfect blue water on white sand beach".
Santa Monica, Dana Point, & San Diego have a few 5-star hotels located on the beach. These are in the range of $300+ per night. Almost all other hotels are walking distance to the beach not on the beach.
Laguna/La Jolla are about 2.5 hours from Hollywood with no traffic.
Huntington & Newport are around 1h 45min from Hollywood with no traffic.
The Hollywood Hills are HILLS with houses. There isn't really shopping in the Hollywood Hills it's where people live.
And you also don't say when you are coming to LA. Remember we have June Gloom that can last well into July some years.
