How to convince my mom that it is okay to wear flip-flops out?
My mom hates flip-flops, and she hates them so much that she doesn't allow me to wear them anywhere out because they're 'inappropriate and sloppy'. But I hate shoes and I love flip-flops because you can wear anything casual with flip-flops whereas shoes just look bulky and not everything can go with them. So how should I convince my mom to let me wear them?
That's funny because it was the other way around for me. My mom used to force me to wear mine when I wanted to wear sneakers out with my friends. It was embarrasing I felt like a gay guy.
