Callaway launch Diablo Edge Series

The launch of the new Callaway Diablo Edge range of drivers, fairway woods and hybrids together with the new Diablo Edge game improvement irons, comes with a promise of more power, greater accuracy and even more forgiveness for all levels of player.

Underlining the range's distance credentials, Callaway Staff Professional and 2009 European Tour longest driver Alvaro Quiros (average drive 314.5 yards, almost 7 yards further than no. 2 John Daly) will be the face of the new Diablo Edge range.

Available from January 15, 2010, the Diablo Edge range comprises:

DIABLO EDGE DRIVER

A 4-piece modular fused titanium design

The chemically-milled Hyperbolic Cup Face, for precision thickness control

Engineered using an ultra-thin four-piece titanium construction with improved aerodynamics, the new driver generates ultra- high ball speeds thanks to a new precision manufacturing technique which precisely controls the thickness of the chemically-milled Hyperbolic Cup Face, delivering greater performance and distance even on off-centre hits.

The Tour model was born out of feedback and testing from Callaway Golf's Staff Professionals and features a conventional head shape, with full length hosel, less face progression and a deeper and more forward centre of gravity for the look and powerful, penetrating trajectory- preferrred by more skilled golfers.

DIABLO EDGE FAIRWAY WOODS

Callaway are claiming distance gains of between 10-12 yards for these new woods, compared with their Big Bertha Diablo '09 range, and average ball speed increases of over 3mph.

VFT (Variable Face Thickness) technology makes these fairway woods dramatically hotter

"The new lower-profile Diablo Edge range of fairway woods give all golfers the opportunity of hitting the ball longer, straighter and easier, more often," according to the company. "These woods have a much larger head and increased discretionary weighting, which has helped create the highest moment of inertia and deepest centre of gravity ever in a Callaway fairway wood."

Input from Callaway Staff Professionals, including Stuart Appleby, Graeme McDowell and Alexander Noren has resulted in the Diablo Edge Tour Fairway Wood having a full hosel and the lowest and shallowest CG Callaway has ever designed, giving more opportunity to work the ball in a powerful, penetrating trajectory.

DIABLO EDGE HYBRIDS

A unique sole design offers more versatility and playability

With their very thin crown and using VFT (Variable Face Thickness) technology to save weight and increase performance, the hybrids feature additional perimeter weighting, combined with a large sole 'footprint' for more consistent, straighter shots.

The centre of gravity in each model has also been specifically located to promote certain shot shapes. The Standard model has an offset hosel and low, deep CG, providing a high launch trajectory with maximum forgiveness, whereas the Tour model has a less offset hosel and an even lower, forward CG which provides a more penetrating ball flight with additional workability, for higher swing speed players.

The Diablo Edge hybrids are already in the bags of Callaway Staff Professionals Nick Dougherty, Anton Haig, Alexander Noren, Thongchai Jaidee, Niclas Fasth, David Drysdale and Danny Lee.

DIABLO EDGE IRONS

The large cavity back design is engineered with a 50% lower and 17% deeper centre of gravity, a game improvement feature that makes the sweet spot more accessible to amateur golfers.

"In designing the new Diablo Edge Irons, we've taken our proven technologies and combined them with insight on where average golfers make contact on the clubface, then moved the sweet spot accordingly," said Dr. Alan Hocknell, Senior Vice President of Research & Development, Callaway Golf. "The result of that effort is greater distance overall and greater distance consistency."

"We used an exceptional combination of materials to design the Diablo Forged Irons," he addedl. "The thin, high-strength steel face and the soft, forged steel body allowed us to move the center of gravity lower and create a unique combination of added distance and forged feel."

What is the correct terminator for this SCSI card?

The adaptec 39320A? It has 2 ports on the back. The ports are female, and appear to have a cartridge looking line down the middle as opposed to a bunch of pinholes. Also, there appears to be 68 copper contacts around the edge of the slot..

There are SCSI ultra this and mega 320 that, I just want the right one. Anyone know what it is?

based on the model number, i'm going to venture to guess that you got this card from dell for a poweredge server, or something along those lines. am i close? in any case, the terminator will need to be single-ended scsi. but, a terminator is needed only if you actually have scsi devices attached to the card. there's no need to put a terminator on the card itself. determining the type of single-ended terminator you'll need will be dictated by the type of physical, external scsi interface on the last device on the scsi bus. without knowing what the actual device is, i can't tell you any more than that. another thing to keep in mind is, these days, some devices might not even require a physical terminator to be attached because they may have termination already built-in (auto termination). check the device's documentation for more details & to confirm if that feature is available. if you need more help or have more questions in this regard, please feel free to ask.
