My husband and I were both working at the same prison. He was an officer, and I was a supervisor. I had just got off work, and he was on his way to work. I picked my 5 year old up from daycare. I had just got paid that day, by way of direct deposit. We went shopping at walmart, all I had was the checkbook. He asked if he could ride the merri-go-round. I told him I did not have a quarter because I was broke. I need to write a check first and told him maybe on the way out. We get to the check out, He tells the cashier that, "My mommy is broke, she just got out of prison. My dad is in prison now, he just got in. We don't have any money to pay for the groceries or merri-go-round, so mamma says we godda write a check."
There were old ladies behind me, they clutched their purses, and the lady checking me out, asked if my check was going to bounce!?!?

HA HA HA... that honestly sounds like a joke!! LOL.
I will write just now if I recall when something happened to me, I am sure it did but I must say what happened to my friend and that I think, wins all awards in my head..
A friend told me, that one day she had a very family etc get together. Everyone sits in the lounch, talks etc.. many people... then her 2.5 year old son comes to the middle of the lounch and asks his mum: "Mummy, what is THAT??". Everyone in the room turns around to look at him... and is his hands he was holding pink...... vibrator!!! My friend nearly died!!!
But I should tell you the story that actually happened to me and my daughter saved me...
I was already in the queue of people at the casher in a supermarket next to our home), and was going to pay. I took my wallet out of the bag and somehow (have no idea how!) when I took it out, it went out with a tampon (clean one LOL). It fell on the floor between everyone and at least my quick reaction was to quickly stand on it with my foot. Then…. I was standing. I just FROZE. I would not move, say anything… I got so tense (now that I think back I feel so stupid). The queue moved and I should have been the one to pay and I was just.. still. My daughter looked at me, wend down took it from under my foot and said “move Mummy, it is ok”. I could have not believed… how brave she was and me so childish.. ok, after wards, we had so much laughter about it!! I still don’t know why did I feel so embarrassed.
