Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong with the clutch cable on my harley?
I was putting some apes and other custom stuff on my bike over the past few months and now that i'm done i went to role my bike out of the garage to clean it and the clutch doesn't disengage. i adjusted the cable forever and still won't disengage. i put everything back together by the book. Got all the right play in the cable and still won't disengage. haven't started it yet though to scared to don't want to mess it up. someone please help i'm stumped.
Make sure both end cable are connect .
If there is. I am wonder have you remove and Install Clutch cover??
Is the clutch parts inside are there or fell off while you put clutch cover back on. The part called pusher. or out of adjustment, or missing Thrust bearing or ball bearing.
Recheck your clutch system inside. Or the pull clutch lever is stripped on clutch puller shaft on the cover. ( spline with bolt or forgot to add bolt or tighten bolt.)
Other is possible that clutch plates and Drive clutch plates are stick together too long. If you feel the clutch is working. Then Pull the clutch level in, Then put in second gear, hold the clutch lever, rock back and forth of your bike to break up the plates.
